Don’t Do It!
King Zimri killed many many people so he could become king. He was power hungry. But Omri opposed Zimri and came with an army to kill King Zimri so he could become king in his place. King Zimri feared being killed and saw no hope so ended up killing himself. Zimri could have avoided all this if he was not so disconnected from God.
Today, so many people are disconnected from God. Not because they are power hungry but because they are deceived into thinking there’s no way out from their turmoil. So suicide becomes an option.
The loss of someone’s life is sad. All lives are valuable. God loves all and hates to see death of people. Suicide is the number two killer in the world. People are walking around with no hope. They see no chance of things turning around for good. We need to be that light for people in this dark world. We need to encourage others in the name of Jesus in hopes of pointing hurting people to a relationship with Jesus. Hope must become real to them versus thinking that suicide is a legitimate or viable option for escape. John 10:10 says, the devil came to destroy and Jesus came to bring life. Let’s help people see life in Jesus verses letting the devil deceive them into death.
