1st Corinthians Chapter 6
Don’t Be Easily Deceived.
This chapter says that Christians should not be taking Christians to court to settle disputes. It lets non-believers get a bad testimony about Christians. The Christians are confronted for acting like non-Christians. In fact Paul says DO NOT BE DECEIVED! He confronts them by saying, “Don’t you know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Including those who practice sexual immorality, idolatry, homosexuality, stealing, greediness, drunkenness, slanders, and swindlers.”
If our profession of faith is real, then these things mentioned should no longer be a part of our lives. The old life is sanctified by Christ, meaning set apart from sin and living in holiness. Our bodies are in fact the Temple of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit lives within us therefore we should honor God with our bodies.
Where are we being deceived? Or are we so comfortable with sin we refuse to confront it and repent from it? Be careful Paul says because such attitude keeps one from entering the kingdom of heaven!
