1st Corinthians Chapter 12
We All Have Gifts So We Should Be Using Them.
The Bible says there is one Holy Spirit who gives each of us spiritual gifts which are to be used for the glory of God and for the good of others. In other words, we all have spiritual gifts and we shouldn’t be sitting on them doing nothing with them.
The Bible mentions several gifts but we also have many talents. The Bible says we are to be unified as one body called the body of Christ, also known as the church. Unity should exist and that happens as we honor everyone including those that seem to have gifts less distinguishable.
Pride should never drive us with our gifts or talents because once we act in pride then we no longer honor others because we’re too busy trying to get people to honor us. As a result unity is broken. Let humility drive us with our gifts and talents so that we’re continually trying to encourage others so they feel every bit apart of the body of Christ.
What gifts and talents has God given you? Are you using them? How was the church benefiting from your gifts? If the church is not benefiting then unity is not occurring because our gifts and talents are to be used for the glory of God and for the benefit of others within the body of Christ, the church.
Don’t ever think you don’t have gifts or talents! God thinks you’re pretty awesome because he made you awesome!
