1st Chronicles Chapter 18
It’s Time To Dedicate My Blessings To The Lord.
Overtime, King David defeated the Philistines and many many other kingdoms. It says the Lord helped David wherever he went. One king, who was at war with his enemy, was grateful when King David defeated that enemy of his. He was so grateful that he took gold and silver to David as a way of saying thank you. It says that David took all the gold and silver he gained from all the battles and dedicated it to the Lord.
The Hebrew word for DEDICATE is “qadash” which means to give it to the Lord for a holy reason. Giving it for Holy reasons gives the Lord the opportunity to use any of it however he wants to for his glory while blessing whoever he wants, vs King David using it for his glory or for his selfish purposes.
How has God blessed you? A house? A vehicle? A spouse? Children? A job? Friends? Etc? Stop and pray to God and say, “Lord, I dedicate all my blessings to you. I give you the freedom to use any of us or any of these blessings For Your Glory so it helps point people to you versus me trying to point people to myself.”
