One’s Christian Life:The Real Deal Or Not?
Saul told his servants to put David to death because of Saul’s ongoing issue of jealousy and hatredness. Three times attempts were made to kill him. The fourth time, Saul heard David was with the prophet Samuel. 3 times he sent a group of men there to capture David, and three times when the group of men came into David and Samuel’s presence, the Holy Spirit came upon them and they began to prophesy. Saul decided to go himself and when he came into their presence, the Holy Spirit also came upon him and he also began to prophesy. When the people saw it, they were shocked because they did not see him as a Godly Man. It seemed hypocritical to them.
When the Holy Spirit comes upon us, things are going to happen for the Lord. If today, you allowed the Holy Spirit to come upon your life and use you, would your peers and cohorts be shocked because they aren’t used to seeing it? Or would they think it’s typically what they see everyday?
