Genesis Chapter 5
Well, Are You Faithful To The Lord?
From the timeline of Adam and the days of Noah, a few thousand years have passed. Only once did the writer of Genesis stop and mention the faithfulness of one of the men with God: Enoch!
It’s not to say that the other men weren’t faithful to God but why was only this one person mentioned? Perhaps the others weren’t faithful or perhaps Enoch was considerably more faithful than the others. Perhaps his commitment was real, even extraordinary!
Regardless, it definitely stood out because God called him home at a very young age compared to the other men.
The bloodline stops with Noah with anticipation that God is going to do something great through Noah. We are left wondering what God is going to do next.
What would God have to say about my bloodline? If God was writing a book about my bloodline we stop at my name and then talk about my faithfulness to him? Will you stop at my name with anticipation of something great that’s going to happen in and through my life?
God, I daily surrender my life to you! Use me however you want so lives are impacted for you in Jesus’s name, amen!
