1 Samuel Chapter 9
Nothing Is Going Right Today!
A man named Kish had two lost donkeys, so he sent his son Saul and one servant to go look for them. They traveled through five regions in three days looking for them and did not find them. Saul remembered that there was a prophet in the area so wanted to see the prophet for words of help for their travels. Little did they know that God was preparing them to meet with the prophet, Samuel, for a huge purpose unknown to them. God ordained the lost donkeys and the unsuccessful search for the donkeys, so that they would end up meeting with the prophet Samuel in order to hear what great words God had for Saul.
Have you ever set out on a day with a list of things you want to accomplish but nothing or nearly nothing gets accomplished because of so many interruptions or things go wrong. Inside you are furious and maybe even upset with God. But in reality God ordained your day to not go well because he had a higher purpose for that day. It was necessary for you to have interruptions or for things to go “wrong” so that God could reveal himself to you for a higher purpose.
So next time things don’t go the way you want, rather than get upset, STOP and PRAY to God. Ask the Lord what he would want to teach you or say to you. Learn to see God in everything, including the days that don’t go as you planned.
