Am I A Man Of My Word?
David knew that Saul could not be trusted. That he was not a man of his word. Saul’s life was not surrendered to God almighty. As a result, he made decisions to appease his selfish desires versus God’s desires. This resulted in many people dying for no good reason and other lives being negatively affected. If only Saul could have seen how his selfish decisions were hurting God and others. Eventually David moved in amongst the Philistines, his enemies, to ensure Saul would quit trying to kill him.
Do we have a surrendered heart to God? Are we striving hard to be all he wants us to be or are we so wrapped up in ourselves that we make very selfish decisions that end up hurting our relationship with God and others? Do you find that some people are not wanting to hang around you as much? Take a good look at yourself.
1. Perhaps it’s because they are jealous of you and your faith or popularity.
2. But perhaps it’s because of your lack of Love toward others because you are too self focused.

Let the love of Christ shine through your life and on to others. You might find that’s just what your peers are looking for – some true love and acceptance!!
