Evidence Of A Devoted Heart To The Lord.
After the battle of David and Goliath, Saul kept David to serve him rather than return David home. The spirit of God was upon David because of his heart totally devoted to the Lord. Whatever he did God blessed him. Saul, however did not have a heart totally devoted to the Lord and as a result he was filled with jealousy, hatredness, and fear toward David. He even tried to kill David or planned to have him killed. But God protected David.
Are our hearts fully devoted to the Lord? You can answer that with an easy YES or NO but the evidence of this devoted heart will be seen through your love for others. But if you’re heart is not fully devoted to the Lord, then it will be evident through your lack of love for God and your increased love for self. Examples of such lack of devotedness will be jealousy towards others, hatredness towards others, or even fear towards others.
Are you devoted to the Lord with your whole heart?
