Faith or Fear, You Choose!
Just as Saul was a servant of the Lord so are we to be God’s servants. Saul failed in two areas we are to be obedient in.
1. Saul ended up not being a person after God’s own Heart.
2. Saul let fear dictate a disobedient reaction, rather than letting his faith in God override his fear.
Because Saul operated out of fear, he made a burnt offering to the Lord that Samuel the prophet was supposed to do. But because of Saul’s fear of his circumstances, and because of him being impatient on waiting on Samuel, Saul ended up taking matters in his own hands. Thus doing so, he acted in disobedience before the Lord. As a result he faced terrible consequences because of his actions.
Are we people after God’s own heart? Does fear control our lives, or does our faith in God override our fears?
It’s a choice!
