Does Fear Control You?
The Philistines were gathering together to go into battle against Israel. So King Saul, of Israel, gathered his men to go up against the Philistines and when he saw their great numbers he became afraid. He called out to God for help a God did not answer because Saul was not following the Lord. So Saul went to see a spiritist, a medium, to call up the dead prophet Samuel. When the voice of Samuel came up, he rebuked Saul saying God is not pleased with him because of his disobedience and God will destroy him and his son in the battle against the Philistines, and then David would become the new king over Israel.
When we are walking in obedience and in faith with the Lord, there is no reason for fear. But when we are walking in disobedience or with the lack of faith to the Lord, then fear is present. Are you walking in fear? Then ask the question: are you walking with the Lord or not? Or ask the question, are you walking in faith or are you letting circumstances in your life override your faith? Let’s trust God together for what He is wanting to do in and through our lives.
LORD help me to walk in faith versus letting circumstances destroy my faith.
