Peter addresses some issues between husbands and wives
Wives, if your husband is an unbeliever, be sure to submit to him as a leader because if your unbelieving husband sees your life testimony of purity and reverence, you may win him over to Christ. In all reality if all of us treated our spouse and others with a life testimony of love that comes from Christ, we all stand a chance of winning people over to the Lord
Husbands are to be considerate to their wives treating them with utmost respect recognizing them as the weaker partner. Because they are the weaker vessel doesn’t mean we strive to have control over them and rule with a pounding fist. But rather it should drive us to treat them with utmost love and respect. They should feel like they are number one. To treat them any less will hinder our prayers to God
In this world, we should treat everyone with love and compassion in humility. If someone does evil to us we should repay them with a blessing. When we bless others, God gives us a blessing and it may not be a blessing on Earth but a great blessing in heaven. Remember, how we respond to others has a great impact on helping them see Christ who can give them life
CHALLENGE: Think of how you treat your spouse. Think of how you treat those who don’t treat you with respect. Does your response push them further away from God, or does your response increase their curiosity of wanting to know who Christ really is!?!
