1 Peter Chapter 2
A Living Stone that Builds into a Spiritual Home.
God calls his people to get rid of areas they were struggling with: malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander. Today, if we were to STOP and LISTEN to the Holy Spirit right now, what is he asking us to get rid of?
Jesus was the Living Stone that brought life for all who believe in him. We are also called to be a Living Stone that God wants to build into a HOLY spiritual home.
We are called to be a holy example for God. And the examples he gives are:
1. Abstain from sinful desires.
2. Our lives are to be an example for others to follow so that they have no just cause to accuse us of wrongdoing.
3. Obey our authorities and honor them.
4. Respect everyone including the authorities that are harsh.
I pray we all can be a living stone for Jesus developing into a spiritual home for all to see as a testimony for Christ.
