1 John Chapter 1
Jesus Is Who He Said He Is.
John writes this letter because many who once accepted the teachings of Jesus as the Messiah, God’s son, who came to Earth as in human form, to be our Savior and forgive us of sins, were now questioning if this was all true or not. Many were claiming Jesus was not who he claimed to be.
John wrote this letter to set the record straight. John and the other disciples were witnesses of Jesus and his works.
They heard Jesus speak. They saw him with their own eyes. They touched him with their own hands. They saw the number of miracles he did.
Some questioned Jesus’s perfection because he came in human form. John reassures them that he was perfect and with no sin. And for that reason was able to be a perfect sacrifice for our forgiveness of sins by the shedding of his blood and Resurrection from the dead.
The good news is that because of this we are able to now walk in the light of Truth and not in darkness of sin. But in our pursuit of God, if we stumble in sin, and then confess that sin to God (no matter what it is), God is faithful and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Let us let God take our faith walk to a new level where we are walking more consistently in the Light of Christ and less in darkness. Let’s be The Light of Christ to this world.
