1 Corinthians Chapter 4
Are You Mocking Me?
God is calling all of us to a Ministry as he did Paul. Paul says we’re to be faithful to the calling. Being faithful to something requires commitment, hard work, perseverance, and vision. And as you move forward there’ll be people who will judge you falsely. They think they’re judging you adequately but they don’t see the motives of your hearts. Only God does. So what matters is how the Lord will judge us so may we all have a clean and clear conscience before our God in the way we live out our life and Ministry.
Some will cast judgment upon us like with Paul and his friends. They were made a spectacle before the world. They went hungry and thirsty. Their clothes were like rags. They were brutally treated. And they were homeless. Does this Christian thing sound like fun? But through it all, they worked hard, they blessed those who cursed them, they endured the persecution, and they answered kindly to those who slandered them.
In other words, Paul set a great example for others to mock or imitate. He even said imitate me because he was that connected to Christ.
Our lives should also represent Christ to the point that others could imitate our faith walk.
Would you want Christians to imitate your faith walk? Why? Why not? Is there something we need to change for the Lord?
