1 Corinthians Chapter 3
Wow! Look At What I Just Did!
We all need to realize that as Christians, we all play a part of God’s labor. As Christians we all have the Holy Spirit that lives within us that enables us to do the work that God has called us to do. We can never boast about our abilities. Because apart from the Holy Spirit we can do nothing (John 15:5-6).
1. God is looking for those who are willing to be used by his Holy Spirit to proclaim Jesus into someone’s life. That’s the foundation work: presenting Christ to someone’s life.
2. He’s also looking for people who are willing to be used to build upon this foundation work. Am I willing to be used to love others in the name of Christ through how I treat them, meet their needs, share a testimony, or even verbally share Christ? Because the more we allow God to use us the more people get to see and hear God’s truth.
3. Ultimately, we will see some who will surrender their lives to Jesus, and their lives are changed. May we never never never never never never never say, “Hey everybody! Look at what I just did?”
Remember, it’s God’s Holy Spirit that lives and dwells within every believer. We should never boast about our leadership or the leadership of another because it is always the Holy Spirit working in and through us. If we are going to boast let us boast in the work of the Holy Spirit!
