Jesus Was Resurrected From The Dead!
Paul speaks of Jesus’s resurrection from the dead. This is what sets Christianity apart from all other religions. Other religions put emphasis on Good works. They don’t know if they’re going to heaven or not. They hope their good deeds outweigh their bad deeds. But the fact that Jesus died and rose from the dead, we know that we who are dead in our sins, can be raised into a new life because our sins are forgiven. We too will resurrect from the dead.
A seed, when planted, dies before it produces plant life. Our bodies, planted on this Earth, is dead in sin but raised to a New Life in Jesus. The Bible says we go from a Perishable Body to an Imperishable Body. From Dishonor to Glory, from Weakness to Power, from Natural bodies to a Spiritual body.
There are those who argue that Jesus never rose from the dead, but Paul reminds them that there were over 500 witnesses who saw Jesus after his resurrection. And those who saw him were willing to die for him. If Jesus didn’t raise from the dead, his disciples never would have sacrificed their bodies to death on Earth.
If we know the Gospel is real, we should STAND FIRM and let NOTHING move us away from the Gospel. We should ALWAYS give ourselves fully to the work of the Lord to the point of being willing to even die on this Earth for him knowing we have a new Spiritual body awaiting us in heaven forever. This is the GOSPEL that gives us hope that no other religion can offer.
