Am I a Role Model For Jesus?
Paul starts by saying, “Follow my example as I follow the example of Christ.” In other words Paul is saying he wants to be a role model for Jesus.
Someone once asked, “How do we know if what he is doing is what God would want?” To me the answer is we need to be in the word of God and be connected to him. Then the Holy Spirit will teach us what is right and wrong so we recognize godly people versus pharasitical people. Seeing others in a faithful Faith walk is encouraging to me. It drives me to want to be faithful to the Lord in my faith walk. It helps me want to be an example to others. I fail at times and when I do, I realize I have a long ways to go with my faith walk but by the grace of God I won’t give up.
God, I pray that you would help me to be a role model of Jesus for others to follow and forgive me when I fail.
